QPWS, Lawn Hill National Park

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) released a tender for the rehabilitation of the car park at Lawn Hill National Park following recent flooding that affected the entire area.

Cooee Products supplied Gos Constructions in Mt Isa, QLD with BaseBind in line with the recommendations outlined in the QPWS tender.

New material was brought in to replace the washed away surface, mixed on site and spread across the newly shaped car park. The mixture of BaseBind and road-base was then shaped, compacted, and left to set.

Cooee Products have been independently tested for hydrocarbon leaching, with results confirming that no hydrocarbons leach from our products, making our BaseBind binder ideal for environmentally sensitive areas.

We attended Lawn Hill National Park to assist with the application of BaseBind and to answer any questions that arose along the way. Using BaseBind is very similar to the standard practices of compacting road-base, with just a few key differences.
