Noosa Council, Ferry Landing
BaseBind
Noosa Council had been experiencing ongoing issues with the ferry landing area at the Tewantin Ferry in Queensland, a high-traffic crossing that sees a constant flow of vehicles and pedestrians each day. The harsh conditions created by the repeated docking of the ferry, combined with the constantly shifting tide and regular exposure to saltwater were deteriorating the loading and unloading zones. Over time this wear was compromising both the safety and functionality of the surface, creating an on going maintenance challenge
Through the application of BaseBind we were able to strengthen and stabilise the surface material, transforming it into a durable, hard-wearing area capable of withstanding the daily demands or the relentless wet-and-dry cycle of the ferry landing.
Just as importantly, BaseBind is an environmentally responsible solution. It has been independently tested and proven to have zero leaching, meaning no harmful substances will enter the surrounding soil or waterways. This ensures the Noosa waterways remain protected, and that local wildlife, both in and out of the water, are unaffected by the treated surface.
