Coates Rally Queensland

The 2007 Coates Rally Queensland was the first round of the NEC Australian Rally Championship, and it was held on the weekend of March 31-April 1.

Bukky gets back behind the wheel

Adrian Bukmanis, is ‘popping’ back home to Australia to dust off his old Legacy rally car and compete in the ARC at Coates Rally Queensland. Adrian is no stranger to competing, he first came to the attention of the Australian rallying public in a tiny Honda Civic and travelled the ARC circuit to bring home many giant-killing performances and class awards. The move into a possible outright contender was hampered by his move to England and the Subaru has remained in cold-storage in Australia ever since.

Adrian’s old service crew is reportedly working on the Legacy to ready it in time for the event and Adrian will be joined by good mate and past co-driver, John Ahern. Bukky admits that the effort at Coates Rally Queensland is not intended to set the ARC world on fire – just to enjoy the event and the old car, and catch up with a few friendly faces.
